Bridgett opened Dee-tails in 2011 with the goal of creating a unique, safe, cage-free facility for pups to come rest, relax and play in an environment conducive to their happiness and well-being. She has rescued dogs her whole life and worked with several rescue shelters to improve the lives of as many dogs as she possibly can. Her experience also includes completing the Dog Guru safe, off leash dog play training and continued education through classes and seminars hosted by other professionals in the industry all around the country. While her experience with animals is plentiful, her extreme passion is her driving force to constantly learning more about the safe handling of all dogs, both big and small. It is this passion and drive that make her so great at what she does. Bridgett is a devoted dog Mom to Jersey and Grr-dee. Jersey is a beautiful 10 year old Rottweiler mix, who is our temperament dog and the leader of our pack. Grr-dee who is a new addition to the Dee family, is a very sweet and loving Pitt mix. Bridgett’s other hobbies include crafting, glow stick snapping and spending time with her wonderful husband and two beautiful, loving daughters. Her favorite thing about working with the dogs is, “It is the most rewarding job! There is nothing better than the love of a dog. I love being able to know that these dogs are well taken care of in a setting like home so their owners can be at ease while they are away.”

Sandie joined our team as the Office Manager in 2013, bringing with her extensive and invaluable experience in Human Resource and Administrative Management. As a dog owner since childhood, her experience also includes the Dog Guru safe, off leash dog play training and attending several classes and seminars hosted by other professionals in the industry all around the country. Sandie has a sassy 2 year old boxer named Elsa, yes she is named after the Frozen character. Her hobbies include reading, learning, a mild obsession with Harry Potter, Netflix, pencil sharpening, and spending time with her wonderful, crazy family. Sandie’s favorite thing about working at Dee-tails is, “Being around people who are passionate about what they do is incredible and such a rare thing. This team LOVES what they do and I am honored to be a part of it! I find that so refreshing and inspiring. And I get to hang out with dogs all days so that’s pretty awesome!”

Pet Grooming

Laura is our wonderful and talented Groomer! She joined Dee-tails with over 15 years of grooming experience and has quickly become an invaluable member of our team. Not only does she love making animals look beautiful but she also loves caring for them, she has 5 dogs and 4 cats; Clawed, Titten, Ben and Agnes. Of her 6 dogs, she has 3 toy poodles- Virgil, Lacey, and Dolly, a Beagle named Jack and a mix named Olga Mae. Laura’s hobbies include swimming, camping, fishing, moon tanning, shopping, cooking, kayaking and spending time with her family. Her response to what she loves most about working with dogs is, “What’s not to love? They are amazing! Working with dogs is a type of therapy!”

Joanna came to us while she was still in high school and full of passion about caring for animals. Her experience includes Veterinary Technician training at the ACATEC Tech Center, over 9 years of equestrian work and completing the Dog Gurus training for safe, off leash dog play. Joanna’s hobbies include horseback riding, hiking, bell ringing, drawing, watching TV and spoiling her dog. She has a Red Bone Coonhound named Hercules, who enjoyed horseback riding with her when he was a puppy. Joanna’s favorite things about working with dogs is, “how goofy they are and I love how loving they can be.”

Alahna is a natural born animal lover, big and small but she really LOVES sloths. She joined Dee-tails last year very eager to learn. She came to us with almost 2 years of Veterinary Technical Sciences experience and quickly completed the Dog Guru, safe off leash dog play training. Alahna has a beautiful, 11 month old American Bully named Banelli, who is being featured in a Bully magazine! Her hobbies include fishing, camping, training her dog, aircraft spotting, and collecting ‘Petoskeys” from South Haven. Her response to what she loves about working with the dogs, “Everything from running around with them all day to the wet, slobbery kisses. It’s so therapeutic. I couldn’t think of a more fun job!”

Allaninah is very passionate about dogs, her experience includes volunteering at the SPCA, being an Assistant Dog Groomer, completing animal tech classes, quickly completing the Dog Guru safe, off leash dog play training program, and volunteering at different vet clinics. She has three dogs, a mutt named Floyd, a Catahoula Leopard named Moo, and a German Shepard named Titus. Allaninah’s hobbies include binge watching Netflix series, powerlifting, traveling, rock balancing, and playing any kind of sport. Her favorite thing about working with the dogs, “It’s like an escape for me, it relieves my stress and helps me relax. Dogs are so calm and I love their cuddles!”

Sarah, is a great addition to the Dee-tails team! Aside from family dogs, her experience includes several years of dog sitting. Sarah has three dogs; a Poodle, Jack Russell mix named Buddy, an English Mastiff named Apollo, and a mutt named Bullet. Her hobbies include skiing, tanning at the beach, spending time with family and friends, sitting by the fire, turtle watching, shopping and going to her family cottage. Sarah’s favorite thing about working with dogs, “I love being able to see all of the dog’s different personalities and getting to know them and learning about their different behavioral traits. I mainly just love being able to come into work and see all of their beautiful faces and getting the opportunity to play with them all day.”

Carly is a natural with the dogs. She has several years of experience working with the Kalamazoo Humane Society as well other dog daycares. Most recently a facility in Colorado with a gorgeous mountain view! Carly has two dogs, Molly a pit mix and her puppy soul mate, Wesley, a German Shepard. In addition to spending time with her fiancé and puppies, Carly’s hobbies include anything involving nature, playing frisbee, hanger organizing, and working with animals. Her favorite thing about working with dogs is that, “It is very rewarding getting to build a relationship with the dogs. I love getting to know them and sharing in the all the reasons their families love them so much!”
